I suggest that you have the procedure when you are ready for the procedure and the recovery itself. Most often, women who are bothered by excess skin from an aesthetic point of view, as well as when having sex, playing sports, wearing swimwear or underwear (fear of excess skin coming out) or wearing tight trousers, opt for this type of surgery. During the procedure, you will lie in the gynaecological position.
Before the procedure, I apply and then inject a local anaesthetic into the labia minora area.
When you can no longer feel the intimate area, I start the procedure.
I cut away the excess skin and reshape the labia minora so that they are symmetrical and hidden under the labia majora.
I close the wound with an absorbable suture that does not need to be removed.
I apply antibiotic ointment over the sutures and place a thin gauze.
You are discharged from the clinic in about one hour after the labiaplasty.

What should I expect during labiaplasty recovery?

You can start showering on the second day after the operation, then gently dry and lubricate the area with antibiotic ointment and protect it with a clean gauze.

Maintaining proper hygiene is essential to prevent infection and promote healing. I recommend gentle cleansing with mild soap and water and avoiding harsh chemicals or perfumed products in the genital area.
Apply topical antibiotic ointments as instructed to keep the incision sites clean and protected.
Taking prescribed pain medications can help alleviate discomfort during the initial recovery phase.
It is important to attend follow-up appointments with me to monitor your healing progress and address any concerns or questions you may have.
Keeping the incision sites clean and moisturized, can help minimize scarring and promote optimal healing.

Resuming Activities:

Depending on the extent of your procedure and your individual healing process, you may be able to return to work and daily activities within a few days to a week after surgery. It is important to listen to your body and avoid strenuous activities that could strain the surgical area.
It is typically recommended to wait with sexual and physical activity for several weeks to allow for adequate healing.
